They always tend to assume I'm busy with the baby. Just like when I got married they assumed I was busy with my husband, and never bothered to ask me. Since we live in the 'burbs and pretty far from most of our friends (and very far from all family), it definitely cut down on our social life a bit, but everyone seemed very understanding and lots of our close friends are willing to come over often. Once RJ started sleeping thru the night reliably, we started using babysitters at least a few times a month for date nights and nights out with friends. We're homebodies, but we love hanging out and playing games so we try to get together with friends as much as possible. It turns out that one of my friends developed PPD so that was understandable. So now when ever I don't hear from someone, I can't help but worry that they may have PPD as well. Did you cut yourself off or did you remain as social as your new time constraints allowed? </p>
