He didn't like babywearing, being held, or fussed with since he was born basically. He's almost 19 months and its such a new thing for DH and I to get to experience now! He comes home from daycare and actually runs over and gives me a hug around my legs or wants to cuddle for a few minutes here and there. He also started reaching his arms up to be picked up and wants to sit on our lap or against our tummy when being read a book. Before we would just read to him while he wandered around playing with other toys and ignoring us. Lately, we've been snuggling together in bed before putting him down and he's been crying and clinging when we say its bedtime! But once the lights are out he says, "go to bed, mom!" Or orders me out of his room. My almost 2 year old would still sleep in my arms 100% of the time if I let him. I've found that they go to bed much more quickly and easily when I've got them in the crook of my arm... I can tuck one under each arm and one book later, they are passed out!! I'm sure they'll tire of the bedtime snuggles as they get older, but for now I'm gonna enjoy them. Do your kids still snuggle at bedtime?
