A really good breakfast option that I've found is 2 eggs (cooked anyway you like, scrambled, fried, boiled) with half an avocado. Easy and it keeps you full for a while!

Going off of @blackbird's suggestion, I just got the new Skinnytaste cookbook and I LOVE it. The recipes I've made so far have been great and easy, and most of them are brand new (not featured on the website).

We also do Fresh20, but my husband can kind of be a curmudgeon about some of the ingredients so I'm also getting an eMeals subscription as a back up. I REALLY hate meal planning.

I am in the exact same boat!

One big change that I made is to eliminate my usual breakfast choices and eat something like dinner leftovers for breakfast. A piece of chicken keeps me full longer than anything else, so I eat that for my breakfast.

I also make myself a fruit salad or vegetables (cukes, red peppers) with hummus (homemade, no added oil) for my snack.

What kinds of meals do you eat now? What sorts of things do you like?

For breakfast I do a hard-boiled egg, and some greek yogurt. Maybe a couple slices of turkey bacon.

Snacks I eat things like more yogurt, celery and almond butter, nuts and dried or fresh fruit.

I like to make big batches of soups and take those to work for lunches; soup is a easy to keep lower carb while still getting protein and lots of veggies. I also LOVE making paleo meatballs and spaghetti squash with sauce for lunches. 1 large spaghetti squash usually is good for me for about 3-4 lunches.

Dinners we do a lot of big, flavorful salads with protein (usually fish for me), tacos with no cheese/sour cream/etc and non-fried corn tortillas, roasted veggies and a protein, quinoa salads, taco salad with no shell/chips, etc.

@TemperanceBrennan: We just started the Fresh 20 and I have also lost weight on it. I think just having some new ideas for dinner has helped me get out the rut of eating the same (carb loving) meals over and over. We almost never do all 5 meals, but usually at least 3, most of the time 4.

Skinnytaste has a lot of great healthy recipes! I also have a Fresh 20 subscription but I'm opting out for a bit during my pregnancy.

I had a lot of success counting macronutrients when I was actively losing the weight I gained with E. i became very aware of how important protein is, and how very little i was actually getting!

The Fresh 20 would be great for you. I lost weight following it, but it isn't a weight-loss plan. There is almost always leftovers for lunch the next day.

There are a few threads on here about it. There are a lot of people (like me) that love it.

The only way I've ever been able to lose weight is through a carb-restricted diet and exercise. I've been stuck in a loop for the last month of losing the same four pounds over and over again, and I think I need a meal plan overhaul. Anyone have any good suggestions for some breakfasts and/or dinners? I usually take left over dinners for lunch the next day.
