I give my LO a sheet of contact paper that I've taped down with painter's tape. I let her stick on tissue paper that I've cut up, random scrap paper left over, pom poms ... etc. It's already sticky and I don't need to mess with glue. She can do this all on her own without any supervision from me. So this is my favorite.

I also paint with her which always leads to finger painting.

We make "birthday hats" as she calls them by decorating the paper and then rolling it into a cone and taping the ends together.

I have her help me make pudding, since it's very easy to mix. Just put it in a really big bowl so there's very little mess.

I play kitchen with her, where I ask for all kinds of food, and she makes them for me. We play doctor, where I tell her to check up her stuffed animals. I give them different sicknesses like monkey has a cold, giraffe has a boo boo on his knee, lion bumped his head, etc.

Puzzles. I have puzzles that are 2 pieces, 4 pieces, 6 pieces and 8 pieces. She loves doing these.

This is a few weeks old so may not but helpful anymore, but I made a bunch of busy bags for my boy to play with. There are a lot of ideas on Pinterest and google.

Gluing is super fun for kids, you can glue cotton balls to a piece of paper in the shape of a snowman, for example.

You could also do a modified sensory box with a scavenger hunt, kinetic sand, goop, etc.

We also make pancakes together some mornings. He loves pouring in the ingredients and then stirring. Other options would be cookies or muffins.

I got this new coloring book that is no mess and only colors on the actual pages. I got it for car ride, but sounds like a good activity that won't make a mess. Some other ideas: a string and beads (M&D has a nice one), manga blocks, building toys. B is currently obsessed with his little people toys.

I'm 32 weeks pregnant and my son is 2.5. I'm a stay at home mom and am looking for indoor low key activities to keep my son entertained for the next month. I'm having contractions and need to take it easy (but am not on sbed rest) for at least another 2-3 wks. My son is not super into independent play and begs for tv when we stay home (I'm used to doing an activity with him in the morning as well as after nap).

Ideas- painting, sticker pads, puzzles, books, play dough, light cooking......

Help!
