He's not super independent yet (he's a scared baby) so he will not go alone in the bigger toys. </p> <p>But this winter, I will definitely play outside with him, make forts and such. But it's always their kids who are the bullies and they ignore what's going on because they're too busy. That makes me uncomfortable because I would always want to know where my daughter is on the playground. I am more worried about her getting kidnapped than getting hurt. But he loves to play with one of us at the playground, and since Mrs. Bee is oh-so-pregnant that means that I've been getting tagged in.</p> <p>All in all, I would prefer that Charlie play with other kids rather than with his parents. But given his vast preference, I've been crawling around the playground lately. I've been pleasantly surprised by the results. Playing together has actually brought Charlie and me much closer together!</p> <p>I'm sure that soon enough, he won't even want me with him at the playground. So I should just be appreciative for this time we have together now, right? I have to admit though, it's pretty exhausting!</p> <p>How about you: do you get down on your hands and knees and play with your kids... or do you stand back and watch them from a distance and only intervene when they need help? </p>
