She is signed up for two more sessions over the summer! She started ballet in the winter as well, which is over now for the summer, but we intend to continue that this fall. She is currently 3.5 years old... Some of the little girls were, however. We picked up gymnastics when she turned 4 and she likes it a lot. She starts swimming today (almost 5 yr old now), and we plan to find a piano teacher this summer. This fall, she will go to Chinese school. I think we are going to stop at that, it's already a lot. Swimming and Chinese I don't even consider an extracurricular, they are a necessity (safety and our heritage). DS (21 mo) I'm going to start swimming in a few weeks in a Mommy and Me class. She turned three on Saturday, and that was the gym's cutoff, so she had to wait until after her birthday. I think we'll continue with just this one activity until she starts to show interest in other areas, and then we'll reevaluate. I doubt we'll ever enroll her in more than 2 activities at a time, though; she'll get language, music, and art at school next year, so we'll only enroll her in physical activities/sports. I'm thinking that's what we'll do. I can't wait to get LO into some fun classes to explore sports, music, or other interests. She didn't start doing much until she was five. Now she takes riding lessons and is saving up money to buy her own horse! He is intoeing (pidgeon toed) and I want him to start strengthening his leg muscles. And I can't find a gymnastics program I like in SoCal. At 3 he will start Suzuki Violin and dance probably. He's a natural, he began kicking around a ball pretty much as soon as he's been able to walk, so I think it would be something he enjoys. He's 2.5. A friend with a first grader said her son started several different sports when he turned 3. That seems kind of early to me, but I've definitely seen a bunch of little guys out on the tee ball field, and they looked like they were loving it! I'm not ready to become a soccer mom yet! ;)
