We bought a potty seat and let her use it when she wants. I was hoping to wait until she was at least over 2 as we are taking a long road trip right after her birthday. He started peeing in the potty at a little over 1 year old. By 18 months he was successfully peeing on demand (and then peeing again). At 2 he is fully daytime pee trained. </p> <p>When I say trained, we take him potty every hour and he pees on command and pees his pants less than 3 or 4 times a week. </p> <p>He has pooped in the potty and now tells us as he is pooping in his underwear but we have had issues with poop anyway. </p> <p>We are very happy with were we are with potty training. It was a long processes and we focused on keeping it fun and positive.
