It's not rare that we have a day where he naps twice, especially if had lots of activities that day. He actually got more sleep that way. The complete transition took like a month.</p> <p>Olive was at 17 months. If she wasn't in daycare, she probably would have stayed with 2 naps a little longer. She was a sleepy child. Same with LMW at 15 months, but she has not been doing very well. Every now and then she'll have a 2 hour nap at daycare but usually it's around an hour. Then she does poorly all night. On weekends we can usually get her to take 2 1 hour naps and she does really well on those days... getting between 12-14 hours of sleep total. But days she takes one nap, she gets between 10-12 hours total. It's been brutal!! Now he sleeps 2-3 hours at nap time and 11 hours overnight - he was only sleeping 10 hours overnight before.</p> <p>It sucks having to be home right in the middle of the day though - this was when we used to do errands. Last weekend I tried putting him on one nap since we know of so many babies who are on 1 nap at this point. He did fine, staying up longer, but his 1 nap was only 1.5 hours or so sometimes 2, broken up by wakes in between. It didn't affect his nighttime sleep thankfully, but I am concerned that he still needs the two naps to get his 3 hours daytime sleep.</p> <p>He's back to two naps (1.5 hr no wakes each time) and I don't plan on changing it any time soon, esp because he loves/needs it and it works with our schedules anyway. I realize this all depends on the ind baby but was wondering what the average age is on HB. </p>
