He only NEEDS one nap, but sometimes he goes for 2. It's not rare that we have a day where he naps twice, especially if had lots of activities that day. On the days he only naps once though, it is a longer nap.
He started that at about 11.5m; it was a t some point close to him turning 1.

12-13 months, daycare started to transition her so we did too. Occasionally she will still take 2 if she's not feeling well or plays really hard, but for the most part she's down to 1 nap now at 16 months.

We pushed Charlie at 15 months. He actually got more sleep that way. The complete transition took like a month.

Olive was at 17 months. If she wasn't in daycare, she probably would have stayed with 2 naps a little longer. She was a sleepy child. It was easier to transition to one nap at daycare.

We just moved to one nap about a month or so ago - 14/15 months - it was a bit of adjustment but he's doing great! He will do one long nap for 2-2.5 hours instead of two 1 hour naps

I had to force Wagon Jr. at 18 months since he started daycare and they only do one nap there. Same with LMW at 15 months, but she has not been doing very well. Every now and then she'll have a 2 hour nap at daycare but usually it's around an hour. Then she does poorly all night. On weekends we can usually get her to take 2 1 hour naps and she does really well on those days... getting between 12-14 hours of sleep total. But days she takes one nap, she gets between 10-12 hours total. It's been brutal!! She's 18 months now.

Around 18 months - but it took almost a month to really work itself out. Now he sleeps 2-3 hours at nap time and 11 hours overnight - he was only sleeping 10 hours overnight before.

It sucks having to be home right in the middle of the day though - this was when we used to do errands. Now I have to go out first thing in the mornings and be home for 11 - and hope he doesn't fall asleep in the car.

I pushed her to one nap right when she turned 1. 2 naps just isn't convenient when you also have an older kid so I was eager to get rid of it. Now I have the afternoon free to do something with both kids rather than having to work around a 2nd nap.

N went on a 1-nap schedule at 20 months, but she was fighting her 1st nap starting around 17 months so she probably could've switched a little earlier, but we were scared to go on a 1-nap schedule. Once we did though, it was the best thing ever!

DS is 14 months and is a great sleeper. Last weekend I tried putting him on one nap since we know of so many babies who are on 1 nap at this point. He did fine, staying up longer, but his 1 nap was only 1.5 hours or so sometimes 2, broken up by wakes in between. It didn't affect his nighttime sleep thankfully, but I am concerned that he still needs the two naps to get his 3 hours daytime sleep.

He's back to two naps (1.5 hr no wakes each time) and I don't plan on changing it any time soon, esp because he loves/needs it and it works with our schedules anyway. I realize this all depends on the ind baby but was wondering what the average age is on HB.
