I feel like my LO did this from day one (not really) but she's such a social little thing, my husband said when she was a couple months.

I watch a friends 3 month old once a week and she doesn't turn her head yet when people come in a room. Her eyes get bigger when her parents come to get her and I'm pretty sure she's aware of their presence even though she's not looking towards them but for everyone else she kinda ignores.

@mrbee: The whole twisting and turning thing, though, is because she's starting to develop the separation anxiety thing. She freaks the heck out if she can't see me...day by day, it's getting worse. :(

I never paid attention. This is the milestone chart I used to look at just for an idea of what LO should be doing.

OH! This makes me excited because it's something I noticed RIGHT away. When she was about 4.5 months old LO started to do this but it wasn't until 5months that is was a regular and consistent occurance. Now, at almost 6months, she starts turning her head side to side, even looking over her shoulder to find me if I had gotten up to move somewhere else. If the hubs is holding her, she'll twist and turn looking for me.

Another thing that I find interesting is that when she's in her exersaucer, which is always in the same place, every once in a while she'll turn to the direction of the computer desk to see if I'm still there.

My lo started paying attention to us pretty early. One night I left her room so hubby could do bedtime and he told me her eyes followed me out and she started crying. I didn't believe him... until it started happening every night and shed cry until I took her. She was probably just s couple of months old.

Olive is almost 4 months old (she was five weeks early, so she's closer to 3 months from her due date).

When we enter a room that she's in though, she doesn't really turn her head to see who it is. She's been slower on her milestones, so we have been a bit worried and were wondering:

At what age did your LO turn their head to look at you when you entered the room?
