It wasn't a quick process but DS was 27 months by the time he was peeing on the potty regularly, 2.5 for #2 and 3 when he ditched the night time diaper.

DD is 25 months...I honestly can't sit with her on the floor at 9 months pregnant to wait for her to go! It's going to have to be after the baby arrives.

We're doing it right now at 27 months. It was more about timing for us than readiness for our daughter. (She showed some signs of readiness, but more importantly a long weekend in the summer worked best for my schedule.) By 3 days she was going pee on the potty 90% of the time. The last 2 days at school have gone great with only a single pee accident. She has been pooping in her undies though (yuck!), so we've been talking about that with her. Naps at daycare have been in undies. At night we're still doing diapers.

Fully trained (including nights) about 33 months. We did the three day method starting at 30 months and he figured out pee right away and poo took about 2 weeks. He was out of daytime diapers within a week and nighttime within 3 months. Luckily, he figured out nighttime training by himself, but I was fully prepared to keep him in nighttime diapers for as long as it took.

@Mrs. Confetti: We have high/comfort height toilets and had good luck with the Ikea Bolman stool. Most single steps were not high enough. It is also the perfect height for washing hands and brushing teeth, so my child can just move it over afterward to wash his hand. We just used the baby bjorn toilet trainer seat... it feels more secure with the adjustable opening and it's great for boys. I also like that it has a hook and can be hung on the side of the toilet so it's out of the way.

@Mrs. Confetti: we have the prince lionheart weepod basix seats on all the toilets, and bumbo steps (one taller step) in 2 bathrooms and a graco two step stool in the other. I think the graco one is a little easier for them solo.

3 day potty method worked for us at 24 months. She didn't really show any "signs" but I wanted to give it a shot. We had been putting her on the potty for fun starting around 19-20 months just so she wasn't afraid of it. Then we just went for it. Wanted to quit after 2 days but on day 3 it just clicked for her.

@winniebee: I don't think B is fully there yet. He has shown a lot more interest but not enough where I'm ready to break out potty boot camp.

DS will be 2 in Nov. DH and I have a lengthy holiday break in December so we will probably attempt potty training then-- He's starting to show signs now (19 months) but it's still way too early.

Started the process around 21 months and both were fully trained for daytime and naps by 23 months (and going on the big potty independently with little help). They just decided they were ready, but I took a slower track since they were younger. Still wearing diapers overnight that are dry about half the time...not worried about that right now since they still sleep in cribs.

@littlek: he will pee and poop on the potty but not consistently. Sometimes he wants to and sometimes he doesn't so I'm taking it to mean he's almost ready but not quite. I would like for it to happen before December but don't want to push him while our life is hectic!

Fully, with no accidents just after age 3. I missed the window over the summer and then we had a trip planned with long flights and I didn't want to go back and forth between pull ups and underwear.

I think we are going to try in October when he will be 28 months. We are moving in August/sept and I feel that will be a major disruption so want to wait until he is settled again. He's 25 months and I think he shows a lot of readiness signs right now.

About 22 months, LO was showing the same signs as your LO. I figured since she knew what was going on that maybe we could try. So that weekend, it was cold and rainy so we decided to do the "3 day method". It was beyond exhausting and stressful with lots of accidents. It took about 5 or 6 days before she was catching on. At 25 months she still wears a diaper for naps and bedtime but other than that is fully trained.

We did the 3 day training at 27 months. Pees clicked right away but she refused to poop on the potty for two months...she saved those nuggets for her nap or night diapers.
She now sleeps in undies for her nap but still wears a diaper overnight.

At what age was your LO potty trained? LO is 2 and he shows signs but he prefers to tell me AFTER he has gone potty in his diaper.
