I never had a large supply to begin with but was able to stash away some frozen milk. I had to use some from time to time to keep up wit LO's demand. I had a noticeable decrease around the 9 month mark. I was only pumping at most 4 oz (mostly 3 oz) every 3-4 hours..but once 9 months hit, I was getting 2 oz every 3-4 hours. It could have been stress-related as well.

For me a decline was related to my diet changes with DS's food allergies. My worst decline was when I went on a TED and wasn't getting enough fats. Adding a ton of oil (so gross) to my meals really did the trick and my supply is back up to where it always has been...boobs still get engoraged between feedings at 9.5 months postpartum.

I felt like I had milk coming out the wazoo for the first 3-4 months. Now I'm less likely to get engorged but there's still decent amount of milk. I don't have much freezer supply and was worried about getting enough for baby when I do go to work because I hardly ever pump now that she has solids but it hasn't been a problem (I don't go into work often though). And boobs still respond to feedback. She was pretty much night weaned for several months. Then she started waking and now I make milk again at night.

I am about 5.5 months in (3 months at home, 2.5 at work pumping). I've not really noticed a big dip yet except for when I don't drink enough water. I need at least 2L of water plus other juice/tea/etc to stay hydrated enough. I also eat ALL day.

I keep about 100 ounces in my freezer as a "stash".

I started noticing a decline when I went back to work and was just pumping during the day. Also, when I don't drink enough water.

Around 7 months, after I got my period and also when the babe started eating solids. Until then I was overproducing and had stored a lot extra. So I managed to make it to a year pumping at work and without supplementing, and now I still nurse my babe in the morning, afternoon and night.

At 4 months, I noticed a huge change. Now, I don't know if it's just my supply meeting demand but at 5.5 postpartum, my boobs are NEVER engorged or hard anymore. The longest I go without feeding LO is 6 hours and even still, they might feel full but never hard or uncomfortable. She's still drinking and eating like a champ, though. I don't pump (LO doesn't take a bottle anyway) - does that make a difference?

I saw declines when I wasn't drinking enough. I probably drink 120-150 ounces of water/juice a day. I've had 2 periods since, but so far so good.

I worked really hard to increase my supply with Charlie, and I never saw it drop in the 9 months I pumped. I also never got my period the entire time.

With Olive, I have a small stash because I'm really only pumping enough for her daily bottle feedings and nurse at night, so I haven't frozen anything in a long time. I'm concerned that I should be building up more of a stash so I can be away from her more in the future, esp if my supply starts to decline at some point.

Did you see you milk supply decline at some point while breastfeeding/pumping?
