@LazyLightning: Yeah . . . that's really when I should have been induced. BUT, even after all of that, LO was just fine. :)

I think about it everyday and I'm convinced I will give birth early. But there's no precedent for me to think that since I was two weeks late and DH was born on his due date. Maybe it's just a natural part of hitting 30 weeks? I'm 31 now.

@MsLipGloss: How far along were you when it first happened? I'm 33 weeks. NOT ready for baby to come yet. (Well, my sore tired body is, but I know she's not... and our house isn't either!)

@LazyLightning: Mine never smelled like pee either (or sweat, now that I think about it!) . . . I say go with your gut. I *knew* it was more than swamp crotch (lol!), but I had a hard time bringing it up after the first round of tests were negative. But when LO slowed down, well, I guess that was the *shove* I needed. ((Hugs)) and good luck!

@MsLipGloss: Thanks! Honestly that's a big reason I've not gone in - I googled and read that so many women had gone in for this and were told 'negative' only to find out later that the opposite was true. What you felt sounds like what I felt, 'cept I haven't' felt another 'gush' yet... crotch of my pants is always damp though and it doesn't smell like pee. I bought pantiliners to help with it...

@LazyLightning: I should probably first describe what I felt . . . which was (1) feeling like I had swamp crotch all the time (but, it was summer, and usually 100+), and (2) sometimes when I stood up, I though I would feel a little gush, if that makes sense. The first time I felt it (the gush) I went in and got it checked. L&D tested for amnio fluid, but the tests were negative. I told myself I was just being paranoid and that I was just probably sweaty, and went on with my super swollen middle of the summer third tri.

Fast forward to my 38 week appointment, I mentioned to my OB that I felt like LO had slowed down a bit, and that I wondered if she was just running out of room. When she checked the doppler, LO's heart rate had some minor decels. I was sent over for more HR monitoring (LO), and then sent over for an u/s due to the multiple decels. As it turns out, I *was* leaking fluid and I only had 1 pocket of fluid left. The decels LO was experiencing were due to her movement compressing the cord . . . so I was sent down to L&D for an induction.

You should definitely get it checked out just to be safe. :) I wish I had gone back in the next couple of times I had similar feelings . . . it would have been safer for LO!

At 35 weeks, when midwife told me I was starting to dilate and efface and to make sure my hospital bag was packed and in the car by the end of the week. 38+5 today and not so much as a BH contraction, though at my last appt, I was more dilated. I'm annoyed with myself for being so antsy when I'm still on this side of my due date!!

I'm with you and @LazyLightning: in timeline as well, and I think about it a lot. Mostly I think about how much I don't want to go into labor yet! Even though I am getting sick of being pregnant, there is too much to do and it's too early for the baby and everything. I have 37 weeks in my head as the time when it gets really real.

About 30 weeks . . . I thought I had an amnio leak (uh, and as it turns out, I did! . . . although I didn't know until later) and I had constant BH contractions.

probably at around 36/37 weeks I started thinking about it a LOT.

Until that point I would sometimes worry about pre-term labor, but it wasn't a regular thought.

I was done- like grouchy, emotional, "get this baby out of me"- thinking about it constantly, at about 38 weeks.

I'm 39+3 now. Lots more waiting ahead of me.

About the time I started having really strong BH contractions (week 36 I guess) and then even more so after my OB/GYN told me I was on the "launching pad", that we were "locked and loaded" at 37 weeks. Baby was born just before her due date.

My OB told me that she thought I'd go into labor soon around 37 weeks, Naturally I felt like she's an expert and knows what she's talking about so I would always think it would come soon. LO didn't come until her due date though.
