I never go either unless I am super, super sick. Like death bed!! I don't even have a primary care, I usually just go to a clinic and get in and out.

Usually after like 4-5 days...but it is rare that I have anything that lasts that long with zero improvements. 2 weeks is a long time to be suffering! I hope you get to a doctor soon and they give you some relief.

I haven't been to a doctor since my pediatric stopped seeing me at like 19 lol. (pathetic I know!) I just have a fear of doctors. I think this weekend I'm going to play around with my diet and see if that helps. I dont want to go in to find out its gas or something silly lol.

@anonysquire: oh hey fellow nurse! Ha, yeah I get why you wouldn't want to go in. That's why (before I moved) I had a doc that I was friendly with and he would ask me what I thought I needed when I came in lol. Any chance you can go to a doc that doesn't know you professionally?

@Shimmer: hello from a fellow nurse! That is part of the reason I don't want to go in, my coworkers.... Ugh!

It depends on what the ailment is! I'm a nurse, and the joke is that nurses only go to the doc when they're dying or mortally injured because everything else we figure out on our own lol.

I would go in, though. Your spleen (among other important internal organs) is in your left upper abdomen, and when combined with a fever could indicate a nasty infection. Feel better!!

I usually go to the doctor or call my dad if I don't get better within 10 days? Go see someone!

I'm trying to decide if I should go to my doctor. I really hate going to the doctor and have severe anxiety attacks whenever I do, so I try an avoid them at all costs. I have been sick for 2 weeks with left upper abdomen pain, nausea and a low grade fever.

At what point do you go to your doctor? How many days do you have to be sickto justify going?
