@winniebee: Not a chance =o) I dont miss it THAT much lol! I still dont know if I want another one at all. I think what happened is that I didnt appreciate my pregnancy because I was so straightforward about it and didnt appreciate my form changing. Since I didnt take the time to really appreciate it/take pictures/embrace it, I regret that.

I would say any type of hospitilization, bedrest, or complications with you or baby that cause extra appointments.

Having bad morning sickness I wouldn't consider difficult, unless it goes the whole time and/or your doctor gets concerned about your weight gain/babies weight gain.

@winniebee: I had complications toward the end (around 30 or 32 weeks), and I was high risk the entire pregnancy due to a thyroid issue. I didnt love being pregnant at the time. I didnt even really like it. In hindsight, I miss it. A lot.

I agree with @Mrs. Jacks =] I've had two on that list plus all-day sickness up until 22 weeks, but I know people that have it worse, so I still dont consider my pregnancy difficult, just a little bumpy =]

Despite having hyperemesis, GD, and PIH, being followed by a high risk OB, being taken out of work and not allowed to have more then 30 mins of being up for the last month of pregnancy, then a medically necessary induction and emergency c-section, I don't actually consider my pregnancy to have been "difficult". I loved being pregnant.

I didn't feel that great the whole time, but it didn't get difficult until the last month when we had some complications and I was banned from any exercise. Walking was the only thing that helped my sciatic nerve pain before, so suddenly every day I was in pain. All things considered though, I never thought of my pregnancy as a difficult one.

I agree with Mrs Jacks :)

I wouldn't say my pregnancy was easy, because I couldn't eat for most of it and when I did eat I was throwing up or feeling awful. Plus with a previous miscarriage I was on edge. But I didn't think of it as difficult, just a means to the end of a baby.

My pregnancy was more difficult in the beginning. That's when my migraines were the worse and I was in the er every other weekend. By the 3rd trimester my belly was big, my feet were swollen, and I was super uncomfortable, but it was easy peasy compared to before.

My pregnancy became difficult when I was hospitalized for preterm labor at 30 weeks and then subsequently placed on bedrest until 37 weeks. Before then, it was a normal pregnancy!

i would say i had a really difficult pregancy :( i had a prior missed miscarraige which already set me on edge and my mom passsed away very unexpectidnly during this pregnacy which devistated me entirely, and its something i will always have to deal with, im still very emotinal over missing my mom. bc of my moms passing i underwent some testing for gentic blood clotting disorders and found out that i probably have a genetic blood clotting disorder that can be deadly (esp during pregancy to both mom and result in stillbirth to baby) witout treatment. began treatment of blood thinner injecitons and was monitored high risk for the rest of my pregancy. so the emotional aspect of pregancy was very very unbelievably hard for me, everyday i thouhgt i was gonna lose my baby. physical discomfort really didnt even cross my mind to much bc i was so preoccupied with everytthing else. i was an aboslute mess during my pregancy.

I think a hospitalization at any point in time in the pregnancy would make it more difficult than not. Of course I have no basis for this, just IMO. I was hospitalized early on for a threatened miscarriage and have had to take the majority of my pregnancy pretty easy, it is hard for me to think about what it would be like not having any restrictions during pregnancy. But, I have had friends who have had it way worse than I-bedrest off and on, (home and hospital), very early delivery, etc.

i don't know if my pregnancy has been "difficult" since i know a lot of women probably have it worse than me (dangerous disorders, complications, etc.), but i can say that i haven't enjoyed it all so far. i feel bad for complaining because compared with a lot of women it's not so bad, but i have been so sick for the past few months that i can't do much of anything but sleep/lay on the couch. it's difficult for me to get used to.

I was chatting with a friend at church yesterday about when would you consider a pregnancy to be difficult. We never did reach much of a conclusion as we wandered off topic, but I thought I would put it to the hive.
