It doesn't have to be perpetrated by radical muslims in order to be labelled an act of terror. Whoever turns out to be behind this, I think it's safe to say that it has been effective. Granted I am extra sensitive and interested because I'm actually from Ottawa, but all the way here in Australia security has been stepped up, people are talking about it non stop (all my grade 8 students knew about it, and were asking me questions cause they know I'm Canadian), and all the war memorials here in Sydney have been closed to visitiors.
