We're always having to find studs, and they are ridiculously unevenly spaced. Some rooms are 12" o.c., some 16" o.c., and some rooms even seem to skip any kind of logic. I don't know why Zillow never took them down? </p> <p>My other main recommendation is to take pictures of the outside if you do any landscaping! We did all of our landscaping on our own (even laid sod ourselves) and I can't really remember what it used to look like. Plus you can see how plants mature year after year. ESPECIALLY if you plan on staying there forever. Even if it's a dirty, box-y, unorganized mess - you won't care in a year. It might even be fun to see the chaos. Also, a million and a hundred pictures. If you plan on making a lot of changes (cosmetic or otherwise), take a new video each year! It is killing me this morning that we didn't do this. We have changed sooooo much in the last 4 years, and I have very minimal documentation :crying: </p> <p>So, just a small tip for those that aren't too late!</p> <p>Anyone else have any good tips? </p>
