@mrbee: Your beautiful Olive reminds me a lot of my LO. He has a lot of the same delays. You have no idea how helpful reading your post was. We are hoping that the DBA is completed by October the latest. I will for sure post about it when it is.

@pinkb: Yay for you guys starting again! That's exciting news.

Thank you so much. A lot of people thought we were crazy and said everything would happen in it's own timing but I'm glad we follow of instinct and got him the help he needed.

I don't have experience with SI or DBA. DD does have speech delay, at 2 she had maybe 10 - 15 words and would not use any of them consistanlty. Now at 3.5 she still doesn't speak in more than 2 work sentences. We had speech therapy from 18months to 2 and now finally starting again, it's been a long road.

I just wanted to say it's awesome you guys are being proactive and doing all you can to help him!

So my 2 year old DS started therapy two/three months after he turned two. And has been in therapy for about a month. He has an SI and OT. I explained to SI when we first met that I was a little concerned because LO would say words for maybe a week and then it was like he forgot the work all together. I told her if she had any concerns to let me and DH know ASAP so we can get them addressed. I wanted to add speech to this therapy set. Yesterday we had the revision meeting and we ordered a DBA instead to see if DS could have autism and what services he needs and how often. Anyone else go through this with their LO?

I feel like if LO does have autism that he is very low on the spectrum in comparison to my little cousin, who is severely autistic and awesome

My LO has little to no vocabulary, maybe about 10 ten words. He's had little interest in functional play but now with therapy he is more interested and will participate and even have independent play "properly".

If anyone could say any experience they have had with this, I would really appreciate it.
