My son didn't like his RNP but did like the Ingenuity automatic bouncer so perhaps the automatic will be better. It gently bounces and has a soft lining and also does ocean sounds, heartbeat, and gentle music.

We didn't use a RnP for ds1 but bought two automatic ones for the twins. Praying they will like them!

I don't have one, but Baby Gizmo did a video review of it on YouTube that you might be interested in watching. She seemed to like it.

We have it for dd 2 and love it! We had the original rock n play for dd1 and I really disliked the fact that it didn't rock by itself. With the automatic one, it rocks back and forth, plays music, has controls to where it will rock for naps (30min, I believe) and nighttime sleep (up to 6 hours). It's not noisy at all!

Anyone have any experience with the new "automatic" rock n play?

For DD we borrowed a swing which she really liked so trying to decide what to do for baby #2. Rather than looking for a new or used swing (which are always so bulky) I was thinking of getting a rock n play this time around. I saw that they now have an automatic version and wondered whether it is worth the extra cost (although I'm guessing a grandparent will want to guft us this since not much to buy the second time around) or is as noisy as some of the Amazon comments would seem to suggest. Any thoughts?
