We usually return after one week. Our library allows 50 books for 3 weeks. We've misplaced a few books because we had too many out (I suspect paperbacks got tucked into hardcovers during the return process)</p> <p>At any given time we usually have 30 or so books out. When DD1 is in school, DD2 and I usually go every week, and we don't always return everything from the previous visit, just the duds! I couldn't keep track of that many! I did just hit the limit for the holds though - 25. I love going online and putting holds on books. They will deliver them to our (small) branch for free which is nice because it gives us more of a selection and I can locate books of interest before we actually go. We usually take home about 25 books, give or take. We fly through them in a week and then just return them early. </p>
