E's sleep schedule looks like this:

Awake 5:45-6:15
Morning Nap: 9-10:30ish
Afternoon Nap: 1-3:30
Bedtime: 7:30-8 usually STTN.

She has a couple pretty long awake times in there for her age, but i think that's half the reason she sleeps so good at night, she's not a very good napper!

@hilsy85: yea, it literally happened in like a few weeks time so it might happen soon for you. I have read that if your baby is pretty textbook, they might start to show sleepy signs at their "normal" nap time because they are conditioned to.

@hilsy85: I would say around 6.5 months is when at daycare he started refusing the late afternoon catnap. So, we went with it. He was usually up from his last nap there at 3/3:30 and would go to bed at 7. At home, we could get him to take a catnap in the late p.m. to get him through til bedtime (and usually would be 3 hours before bed).

@winniebee: we usually do 2.5 hours before bed, 3 at the most...we've never attempted 4!

@NovBaby1112: interesting. He made a leap from 45 min/1 hour to 1hr45 min/2 hour pretty quickly so maybe he'll jump to a longer time soon.

DS is 5.5 months and goes 2 hours. His longest awake time is usually between his last nap and bedtime and that's been sometimes 3, usually 2.5 though.

my LO seems to have higher than normal awake times for her age (almost 6 months). She can usually go 2.5- 3 hrs in between naps. She made this hugeee jump from 1.45/2 hrs in just a few weeks.

I think we were 2 hours at that age between naps and a longer awake stretch (4 hrs) before bed!

What was/is your LO's awake time at around 6-7 months? LO usually can only go 2 hours, 2hours 15 min max without melting down, and he's giving me tired cues (rubbing eyes, yawning) around 1 hour 45 min usually. This seems like a really short awake window at his age (6.5 months).

Could it be due to his crappy overnight sleep (multiple wakeups over a 12 hour period)? He does nap really well most of the time (1-2 long naps of 1hour+ and a short afternoon nap...so I would think that would prevent him from being so tired during the day?
