Oh, I'm curious about this too!

We would be set if we lived almost anywhere else. DS1 was born in early September and DS2 will be born in mid-late October. It always feels like summer here so we'll have to buy some clothes to fill the gap for all of the winter clothes we have. We have several fleece sleepers that we wont need at all. We won't really need any of our long sleeve clothing this time around.

Our girls were February and July... at the peaks of winter and summer!! Most basics and play clothes were able to be reused, but yes, every season that comes around, I find myself buying some new clothes for DD2 to fill in the gaps. My 2nd DD also didn't grow as fast during the first year as my first, so it wasn't too bad since some sizes she stayed in for a while... And a nice thing about girls is that dresses last a long time, especially if they are a little long when you buy them... And I stretch out their use even more by layering them with cardigans and leggings in colder months.

Since your baby will be smaller in the winter than your first was, at least you'll have winter clothes that will fit her, but they might just be slightly big? We had the opposite scenario where a lot of our winter clothes were way too small for #2 (i had newborn and 3 month winter clothes, but #2 was 6 mos old in the winter) so things like our snowsuits, fleece sleepers, and other winter gear were not used again, and had to be bought in bigger sizes.

LO was a December baby and my new baby was born in April. I bought a few rompers and cotton sleepers...we had lots of fleece sleepers!

@StbHisMrs: I'm curious too. My LO was born last October and I'm thinking about trying for an August baby.

I guess I could still reuse some of the fall stuff because in the summer we'd blast the AC. The jackets and snowsuits might not fit.

I'm sort of wondering the same thing, our daughter and the new baby will be 22 months old. M was born in October and baby is due in August! I just plan on buying a lot more onesies!

My little girls will be 2 and a half years apart. The first was born end of May the next will be born end of October. I hope we can get away with reusing a lot of LO1's clothes but I'm thinking we will need more pants and sweaters to stick over some of the short sleeve outfits that she had.

What did you find you needed extra if your LOs were born in different seasons?
