I like the idea of some type of meal service to help out and something to keep the big kids busy as long as it is something they can use with no help.

For mom some nice foot lotion and cozy socks would be nice.

New books for baby are one of my go-to because I figure the parents get bored with reading the same stories!

Aiden and Annis dream blanket. My kids each have their own.

For mom: daily harvest coupons or hello fresh or something food related that makes life easier for her.

What about a package of items to pamper mama? A book (maybe Beth Ann Fennelly's Great With Child? Even with it being her fourth kiddo, she might still enjoy it), a preggo-safe at-home facial kit, lunch delivery gift card, a bunch of the Frida brand mom items, etc.

I agree that baby linens are the most likely to wear out - I was asked recently what we needed for #3 and crib sheets were the main thing I could think of - ours are a mess. I guess some people would want to choose these themselves, but having extras is good, who cares if the nursery is perfectly coordinated when you just need to change the wet crib sheet at 3am w/o doing laundry... Any kind of towels/linens can be super cute...

Not as much fun, but what might be most practically useful is anything to help juggle household management while dealing with 4 kids - i.e. a gift certificate to a meal delivery service, activity baskets to help keep older kids at home entertained, etc.

By the time my 3rd/4th came along, our baby towels and washcloths were ...really well loved. One of our friends got us new cute ones and I remember thinking what a great gift it was!

ETA: Also, burp bibs (they make such cute ones!), new swaddle blanket, cheap "busy" toys for the older kids (think pull back cars and trucks, etc)

A friend of mine is having #4 in October, it was a surprise and it’s their 3rd boy in a row. I know it’s been a hard pregnancy and I really want to give her something special and not sure what is helpful! The sprinkler is a surprise given by her sisters and only 10 people. I know she has a million boy clothes and she’s been buying gear off our local garage sale fb.
I’m thinking a cute baby outfit (I already got her one because I loooove baby clothes) and maybe something for her?? What would you want for #4 that’s a tangible gift? Any ideas welcome!
