Maybe they wrote it down wrong and it should have been on it through 16 weeks? I don't see why you would start it later as it seems to make most sense to start from conception.</p> <p>I know of one friend who kept having miscarriages and took it during her last IUI round. My OB suggested it was standard procedure after multiple losses. I did baby asprin from conception (while ttc) until 32 weeks. It was in case of clotting disorders causing the MC. I also did progesterone from 3dpo until 12 weeks.</p> <p>It's low dose, the same as recommended for heart conditions etc to thin the blood a bit. Why?</p> <p>The other day, my nurse was going over some of MFM's recommendations for a subsequent pregnancy for me. She rattled off a few things and then said "baby aspirin starting at 16 weeks"....we ended our call before I could ask her about this. I've never taken baby aspirin during a pregnancy and don't have any medical condition where it would be needed. I'll obviously ask at my first visit. Google tells me it can be used to treat pre-eclampsia or because of the MTHFR mutation (which MFM told me was a load of baloney previously). Thoughts? </p>
