@Gingerbebe I think that might be the one I registered for. Something similar to that, at least.

@MrsADS: That is, also, my concern that having it dry completely might be hard. I definitely don't want mold or anything to grow on it. I'm planning on hanging it outside to dry.

ETA: If you look on Amazon's site at the Q&A section, there is a few answers about drying it. Some put it in the dryer and some hung it to dry and it was dry by morning. So maybe this isn't an issue.

We used the FP whale tub until DS was 8 months? We still use it for splash time on the patio.

@MaryM @Bluestriped bee my concern about the soft blooming bath one is what do you do with it after the bath? It looks like it would be super thick and wet and hard to dry... like putting a thick blanket in the bathtub or something.

@MrsADS: Not a mom yet but I got the yellow sponge from Amazon, the yellow blooming bath and I got a molded plastic one with sling like you mentioned in your post. (Oh, I registered for both the sponge and the molded plastic one and only bought the blooming bath one.) I figure I would like the one that can go in the bathtub but for the DH he would like the one that goes in the sink since he sometimes has back issues. Oh, at our Expecting Multiples class they suggested the sponge. We are having twins so I figure I would want to try those 3. They weren't too expensive.

@MaryM: Oh, babysteals.com has a Blooming Bath combo pack. The combo was much cheaper than it alone on Amazon so I ended up getting it.

@CakeLady: After using 3 bathtubs that didn't work for various reasons, we also finally had success with the bath sponge.

@CakeLady: Us too. I think it was Summer Infant brand with Amazon Prime. As of 10 weeks or so she showers with one of us.

Not a mom yet so I haven't used it, but I've heard great things about this and plan to register for one.

https://www.bloomingbath.com

I prefer the sink height-wise, and this looks so much more comfortable than putting the baby directly in the sink or in a hard tub.

We used a baby bath sponge - a really big sponge with a baby shaped indentation - in our tub. It was about $7 on amazon and doesn't take up much space. It worked really well for us.

DS is due in August and I am trying to finish up my "baby shopping" of stuff we'll need when he gets here. One thing I don't have yet is a baby bathtub.

I am trying to avoid unnecessary baby gear that will be used minimally or not at all, but I am not sure I trust myself to be able to bathe him just in the sink or something without the baby tub! So I think I'm going to get one.

Any recommendations? I registered for a fairly cheap tub that was basically hard molded plastic but had a sling attachment for when they are little, so I'm leaning toward something like that. Also don't want to spend a lot of money.
