My LO has always slept on the early side. At that age it was probably 6 pm. I think it's whatever works for your family but it is definitely possible to set a schedule if you want to at this point.

I think at that age my LO was going down at around 8:30-9. Over time we slowly got her bedtime down to 6:30-7pm.

My baby's bedtime was 10pm-11pm until she was about 9-10 weeks...then I started doing a flexible schedule using momsoncall.com and moved her bedtime up to 8:00pm...she is 3 months now and I can tell her bedtime is getting earlier and earlier...we start her bedtime routine (bath, lotion, pjs, song, nursing) around 7:00 and we've been cutting it shorter and shorter bc we can tell she just wants to nurse and go to bed. She is usually passed out between 7:30pm-8:00pm and sleeps until 7:00am

My LO is also two months and tends to have a late bedtime too-- i am glad to know i am not the only one! She does sleep better at night when she gets more consistent naps but her sleep is still kind of all over the place. I am hoping to follow her lead to an earlier bedtime as she gets older.

My son is 7 weeks and he goes to bed at 645, and he took to that right away. He was always a good sleeper, we were always waking him up for all feeds for about the first month. We put him on a schedule at about 5 weeks. We roughly adapted our daily schedule from Babywise, its not for everyone but our little guy has done very well with it and for the past week usually sleeps from bedtime till about 6am.

At that age LO was going to sleep at 9-10pm. At 9 months bedtime is usually 7:30 - 8pm.
Don't worry too much. Routines are great but not if they mean you are a prisoner to them.

As much as LO needs her naps Mum also needs to workout and socialise with other Mums. Otherwise Mum will go nuts and find that all she ever talks about is poo and vomit.

Bub is 2 months, you are doing great. Give it time and both you and Bub will work out your own flexible routine that works for you

For bedtime I nurse her in her room with the lights off and then my husband and I read her a book. I'll rock her until she's almost asleep and then mover her to her crib. Then I'll rub her forehead and either sshh her or talk soothing until she's asleep.

I haven't gotten a good routine down for the day. I had been trying to go to the gym about 10 for a workout but I think it making her naps worse because she will just fall asleep on the way. I also go to two mommy groups on wed and thurs so we struggle those days too. Most days I just follow her cues and put her down when she's fussy doing the same routine as at night. But even when we do go out, she's not fussy just lacks a long nap so I don't know if it's ok or not - I'm always afraid I'm doing something wrong!!!

We swaddle her at night, but I only do it during the day if she's struggling to stay asleep.

I just put lo to bed when she wants, which happens to be 730. I feel like it's easier to let them set their own bedtime when they're babies.

olive's bedtime was much later when she was younger, and it naturally got earlier and earlier (she's 4 months now). we put her to bed around 6pm now.

do you have a bedtime routine/general schedule right now?

I wouldn't stress that much about bedtime, as long as she is sleeping good throughout the night/day. Her "clock" may be a bit off but some babies are just night owls. ;-) I would say as long as she is getting enough sleep throughout a 24 hour period you shouldn't worry about it.

When do you put your LO to sleep? My baby is 2 months old and usually goes to bed around 10pm. I've tried putting her down earlier because I've heard most people's bedtime for their children is around 8-8:30 but when I do she just cries and cries - it will take me over an hour to get to go to sleep when I do this. If I put her down around 10-11 she goes to sleep much easier. Is this ok? My husband thinks she's too little to have a real bedtime so as long as she's sleeping ok we're good to go. She also doesn't take very long naps during the day. Her longest is about an hour but she won't do that very often. Most are about 20-30 min. I think the problem with her naps are that she will fall asleep in her car seat when we go places so never feels like she needs a long nap - does that make sense? Any suggestions are welcome - I just want to have a good sleeper but I'm not sure when I need to try to set up a schedule and when to let her do her own thing!
