I didn't have a traumatic birth experience but with my first I did second-guess myself a lot in those first couple of weeks. What you feel is totally legitimate, but my unsolicited advice is to tell yourself you're going to wait a few weeks until your hormones calm down to really look back and assess what happened. I'm the worst at that, I put so much pressure on myself. I didn't have those first moments either - DS was born with a collapsed lung and had an Apgar of 2 and my blood pressure wouldn't go back down so we were both in the hospital in separate rooms for 6 days and for the longest time I was so sad about that. I kept blaming myself when there was really nothing I could've done or predicted.
