I had a post partum feeling of well-being. I fully expected to get depressed, but was surprised that I didn't have anxiety (above my regular level) or depression.

This is so reassuring! I had such a different experience with DD that I was starting to get a little worried I didn't have a repeat experience with DS. :)

@Boogs - Tehehehehe. :)

I definitely felt blue but maybe I was just lonely? DH went back to work right away and I have no family around so I was just all alone. I don't think I would have felt blue if I had some company. Too bad there was no Hellobee back then!!

I haven't yet at 12 weeks. I think I would have if I didn't have such a good sleeper. On days where I start to feel bad I make sure to get out of the house, and ask my husband to take the night shift. So far we've been lucky!

I haven't had any, I don't think. I was stressing before my milk had fully come in and she wouldn't latch. But once we crossed that hurdle it was fine. I am 5 weeks pp.

baby blues hit me differently with both my girls. with my first, it was definitely during months 2-3. with my second, I hardly got it... I just remember being very emotional the week my postpartum bleeding stopped (around week 5).... that's it.

I would give it time since your second baby is still very young... But if you don't get it again, that's a good thing! I think in general though, the second time you have a baby, things are a little less anxiety-provoking since you've been there before so even if your hormones are out of sorts, it not as intense as it was when one was a first-time parent.

I didn't have baby blues. I was happy as could be... with the exception of being a little pissed off about the pain from tearing. Glad you're feeling well!

Did any NOT get the baby blues after having their baby? With DD, I had a really intense experience: it was like two solid weeks of feeling weepy/sad and then anxiety for months afterward. I didn't feel like myself until probably a year after her birth.

DS is now 2.5 weeks old, and I haven't even had a hint of the baby blues with him, though. No sadness, no crying, no anxiety, nothing. Has anyone else NOT experienced the baby blues? Is this normal?
