I used a beaba babycook and did the same as others. Freeze in lidded ice cube tray and dump into ziplocks. Weelicious.com has recipes that are interesting and good, and I also have the Annabel karmel book, but didn't end up using it much.

We make about 80% of our LO's food. We use pouches occasionally when we run out of frozen food or we are going somewhere I won't be able to warm the food.

We typically steam a big batch of a single ingredient and freeze it in one of these: http://www.amazon.com/Wilton-2105-4923-24-Cavity-Silicone-Brownie/dp/B001T4URXG/ref=sr_1_cc_1?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1369540452&sr=1-1-catcorr&keywords=wilton+bite-size+brownie+squares+24-cavity+silicone+mold+pan

Like other posters, we put everything into a ziplock bag labelled with the date.

When its time to feed baby, we mix and match the different ingredients (e.g. carrots with sweet potato and pears) after we have tested that she doesn't react to them. We don't really use any recipes!

I use a magic bullet to make my son's food and I always freeze some. I use ice cube trays with lids. I make the puree and then freeze it in the trays. Once they're frozen I put them in Ziploc bags that I date and then I can defrost/thaw 1 or 2 at a time. I like using this website for some really simple and basic recipes/guidelines. http://www.wholesomebabyfood.com

@artbee: I didn't know that it had a freezer span of only 3 months.

Did you guys use online recipes or just wing it?

I made and froze all of los food, but I read that it only stays good for 3 months so I made a couple months supply and wrote the date on the ziplock bags.

We are making baby food for our LO now (he's 7 months old so he's also eating it now), and we freeze all of it - we always make enough puree to fill one or two of these trays: http://www.amazon.com/Beaba-Multiportion-Freezer-Tray-Blue/dp/B002MXSAD2/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1369533143&sr=8-6&keywords=baby+food+freezer+trays (or any ice cube tray would work). So I don't see why you couldn't freeze food for him for later, as long as it's not too old when you give it to him.

My husband and I are pretty excited about making our own baby food. With summer approaching and having gray California farmers markets I'm hoping to be able to create a variety of baby purées. However our son will only be 6 months in August and a little to young to enjoy some of the in season produce. I'd like to freeze some so we have it available on the late fall and early winter when he will be ready.

Did you freeze any babyhood and how did you do it? Are there's y websites or baby food cookbooks you'd recommend???
