Things she hasn't grown into yet are stored in Rubbermaid containers and labelled with correct size on the outside. Everything she has is in the dresser or chest of drawers. We would have to have a ton of hangers to hang everything. I sort her clothes that are too small into sell or save piles and then store in a labelled storage tub.

Everything not yet worn = hanging in the closet by size on the top rods (dividers). Non-hung clothes (too big), in 2 drawers in the closet.

Current sizing clothes - hung in the closet on the lower rod.
Current pjs and casual clothes - folded in 2 dresser drawers.

Anything outgrown gets weeded pretty quickly. Put in a bag to give away or stored in a bin in the garage at least weekly.

I put her out grown clothes in tubs in the basement.

Clothes she doesn't fit into yet and are hand-me downs, are all in boxes or bags in her closet or basement. Some are hanging, but mostly keep them all in boxes. Although I am going to go buy tubs for them all to protect them better. My cousin is sending me bags of 9m-4T from her girls. Another cousin gave me a huge bag of 12M-2T clothes. So I am going to hit up Target and get them all separated, so I can just grab a tub when I need it.

Then current clothes I have one drawer for sleepers, one for pants, one for onesies, one for 6 months stuff that still fits. Then hanging is dresses, one pieces. We have all her socks in an over the door shoe hanger, but hanging on the wall behind the door since the door wouldn't shut with it on.

At that age:
- Clothes she outgrew would go into Rubbermaid storage bins.
- PJs, onesies, bodysuits are kept in her dresser. I only kept out the ones that she could currently fit into. Anything larger I would keep in labelled Rubbermaid bins.
- I hung up all her other clothes, according to size. So current size in the front, next size in the back.

In my LOs closet I only have stuff hanging that fits now and is season appropriate. On shelves below I have one too big box and one too small. I threw the off season stuff in the too big box so I can evaluate it again when seasons change.

In her closet I have long sleeves, tunics, dresses and sweaters hanging. In dresser drawers I have

-1 drawer Jammie's (all summer ones removed)
-1 drawer tshirts
-1drawer stretch pants/leggings/sweatpants
-1drawer fancy pants/jeans/cords
-1drawer socks and tights
-1drawer accessories (swim diaper, bathing suit, hair clips, etc)

Oh and yes, down in the basement are about 10 boxes of too small clothes :)

I bought tons of baby hangers to hang up the too big stuff. Anything I'm currently using (well, starting in March) goes in the dresser, except for things that need to be hung up.

I am similar to mediagirl.

When little I organized in her closet using dividers. I also kept a Rubbermaid storage bin with 3 drawers with the next size up.

Now that they are older I keep big tubs of clothes in the basement - each one organized by size and season. I gets TONS of hand me downs so this is a must!

When she was that little, I put things in order of size in her drawer/in the closet. So, I would hang things in 0-3 on the left and my 12 month things were on the far right. Same with the drawer. Now that she's bigger and staying in clothes longer, I put her warmer weather 2T clothes in a tub and any possible colder weather clothes up to 2T/24mo in her drawer with her 18-24mo stuff.

How do you store upcoming sizes? Right now, I have a big garbage bag in the closet for clothes she's outgrown (all that teeny NB stuff!). Gifts that came on hangers are still on the hangers, hung in the closet in size order, but anything not on a hanger and hand me downs are jammed into a couple of drawers in the closet. Do you have a better system so you can see what's coming? She's getting close to 3-6 month sizes, so I don't want to miss out on wearing any cute outfits!
