LO was on the petite side (6 lbs, 4 ounces and 19 inches) and is long waisted, so the sleepers never fit her right. When we went out, I loved sun suits (or bubbles-same diff) and swing tops and bloomers. We had 5 or 6 gowns and 2 or 3 sleepers...</p> <p>Now that its getting colder, we do a lot of long sleeved onesies and leggings. He fits perfectly in NB sizes (he was born 7lbs 11oz and is now 8lbs1oz at 16days old) but can do 0-3 as well. I would say 6 or 7 sleepers and 6-7 onesies with pants to go along--I personally like when he fits his stuff exactly, so I like having him in NB onesies and pants, but don't mind if his sleepers are a little big. I also usually only put him in sleepers for bedtime and change him into onesies with pants every morning. He also has a NB fleece jacket and a 0-3 jacket that is big on him. I had two hooded fleece jackets (she's a feb baby), a few hats (she hated them so we mostly used her hood), a few mittens (never stayed on). I bought more outfits once she hit 0-3 but the mainstays were still footed pjs. I'd guess I had anywhere between 10-15 sets? Honestly I have too much. For the first few months she lived in sleepers. She HATED having anything pulled over her head so I skipped onsies altogether. So my advice is to stock up on those plus probably 5 or 6 hats for the early months. My LO wore hats a lot because she wasn't gaining weight fast enough. The pedi suggested hats and they worked really well. This is mostly what I dressed her in, and still, the one pieces are some of my favorites.</p> <p>For the 3-6 month and on I would definitely say at minimum you need 10 outfits. LO can easily go through 2-3 a day, depending on the day. I use both short and long sleeve onsies underneath if it's not a "onsie" outfit because it's chilly out. Honestly though, my favorite outfits are the onsies with comfy pants. I just think that is what I would want to wear every day if I could. haha. I usually have a few really nice outfits too, for when we go special places. And definitely 4 or 5 sleepers. This should get you through the week if you do laundry twice. I also have a handful of sweaters or sweatshirts (and a couple fleece vests - so cute!) in case it's a bit chilly.</p> <p>I'm not a big fan of baby tights, at least not at 4 months old. I'm big on putting leggings underneath a dress or skirt. The one thing I was short on early on was socks. I now have a ton and I like them to match. LO has dozens of bibs as well, since she's a big spitter. Sadly, I try and coordinate these when I can too. It's just so cute when she's dressed and coordinated from head to toe. :)</p> <p>Seriously, I need to look into consigning her used clothes because I buy way too much. Exclusive of sleepers, I could probably easily go 2+ weeks without doing laundry. Girl likes to look her best. Side-snap sleepers, footed everything. We didn't take her out much so no real outfits.</p> <p>0-3: she finally started wearing onesies paired with pants and socks, or rompers for when we'd go out. Sweaters on top of the romper when it was chilly. But footed sleepers were still what she mostly wore. She got to wear dresses that were gifted to her but I'm not a fan of the dress + tights combo. I find it fussy to hold her with it on (always adjusting it).</p> <p>3-6: She mostly wears onesies + pants now with cute socks. A sweater on top of it. I'm still a fan of rompers. I still don't like dresses, but she has to wear them eventually (gifts). She still wears sleepers, but mostly not footed. The ones with feet, I'm making sure runs big so she can actually wear them for awhile.</p> <p>6-9/12: My mom's bought her all her big girl clothes. Skirt/tights combos, pants, onesies, jean dresses. Basically the same stuff as 3-6, but more variety. </p> <p>I can't wait for her to be able to wear dresses, I love the way they look, but I personally don't think they're practical before she learns to walk. I hate having to always fix them, or stopping her from eating the dress.</p> <p>As for how many?
