@Mrs. Carrot: Thank you for your response. I have ran the humidifier in her room for the last two days during naps and night sleep. I was wondering if it could be allergies, also. I will probably call the doctor in the morning even if its just the raspy voice that is there, just to see what they suggest.

@agold: Might even be allergies, but usually if my kiddo gets raspy, there's a chest cold brewing, so we'll see a phlegmy cough, chest congestion, and possibly sinus issues as well. Nothing to do but wait it out, and if the deeper symptoms hit, steam, heat and time until it resolves. Good luck!

@kitty: Thanks for your response! That long lasting cold sounds not too fun. I can't imagine the cringe you feel! My girl is still holding on to a raspy voice with no other symptoms. I have no idea what to make of it!

My kid had a really long lasting cold round the 1 year mark and because of the phlegm dripping down the back of his throat he vomited a few times. Now every time he coughs I cringe in anticipation!
This accompanied the raspy voice rather than coming after it though, and I'd say it's not the sort of thing to happen often.

My baby is almost a year and seems to be experiencing her first ever cold. :bummed: She woke up with a raspy voice. That seems to be the only symptom so far. (She has woke up crying during her sleep the last few nights which is very random, but I attributed that to possible new teeth coming in. So maybe completely unrelated to the raspy voice.)

In your experiences, what symptoms have followed a raspy voice if your kids ever got a raspy voice? I'm so nervous anticipating what to expect next.
