I still use it at 10.5 months. We have some bm issues, so I definitely keep close watch on that. And she wakes up all. night. long. so I'd never have any idea how much we actually slept if I didn't keep track :) I've also been forgetting when to nurse her lately because she's slowly dropping feedings!

Add your mom as a caretaker and she can do it herself! And toucan check it while you're gone! I quit diapers after about 3 months and didn't start sleep until 3 or 4 months, but still religiously record sleep and feelings now at 7 months. All grandparents, parents, and our nanny have the app and can add stuff themselves.

I used it religiously for six months, then I updated my IPod and it erased all of my data! I was so upset for a few days....and then realized how liberating it was to not be reliant on it for everything! With baby #2 I am planning on using it again for at least the initial couple of months but probably won't track things like pumping, play times, and diapers. I'm guessing I will only use it for feeding and sleeping but we'll see!

I still use it religiously at 11 months! DH gets mad if I don't update it during the day since he likes to know whats going on :-)

I think we'll eventually stop once our LO enrolls in daycare.

Right now, I find it useful for tracking:
-sleep
-what solids she has been eating (in case of allergies)
-when she last nursed (because I sometimes forget)

I'm pretty bad about remember the time of the last nap, time of last diaper change, etc. so it helps keep us on track.

I am feeling like I am not so crazy anymore! It really is such a useful app!

@autumnlove: My DH isn't religious about it either!
@coacheswife123: Great point about tracking bottles...we haven't started daycare yet, but I will need to track in the same way.
@mrs. wagon: That is so great that the nanny uses it. How convenient--would be awesome if my daycare could do that, but I doubt they would!
@shopaholic: So glad I am not the only one obsessed with tracking sleep and feedings.

I track feedings most carefully. I tracked diapers pretty religiously until about 3 months. I never tracked naps until about month 4, because I felt like we weren't getting enough nap time. I'm still kind of obsessed with tracking any sleep and ALL feedings. Diapers are whatever's these days.

We are still religious about it and LMW is almost 13 months!! But it's great for us since the nanny uses it (and my mom used it when she was caring for LMW full time) so it's good to know what's going on throughout the day while we're at work. We never have to go over how the day went or when the last meal or diaper or nap was. We do get a little relaxed about pee diapers unless she's sick and we're worried about dehydration, but we still find it important to keep track of her bowel movements, naps, and eating. And while I was exclusively pumping that was important to track for me as well.

For Wagon Jr. (3.5 years old) we only track if he naps (since some days he doesn't) and some bowel movements.

I used religiously until 12 weeks. When she went to daycare, I actually updated every day with the info for 3 weeks. Then I'd had enough :)
At 10 months, I only track nursing & doctor's appointments. And on the weekends I track her bottles just so I know how long it's been.

Dupes were the first to go for us. Now, at almost 7 mo we track bottles and sleep but don't log sleep from the babysitter. We just use it to keep track of time between naps when he is home. I do log bottles from the sitter, though, because I EP and like to know his average intake so I can compare my output.

Not neurotic! My mom put the app on her phone !

@Weagle: I could probably let go of diapers for now! She is definitely gaining weight at a good pace at this point!

@Mrs. Yoyo: @grizz: @dagret: Glad to hear I am not the only one! I am also keeping track to see if any patterns emerge...I think that's ultimately why I just feel like I can't get lax about it yet (or ever). Lol I can just see me texting my 16 year old daughter to get the updates on how frequently she used the bathroom.

You aren't neurotic. I tracked EVERYTHING till about 10 weeks. Diapers were the first to go. Then once he started daycare I kept tracking feeding and sleep for a few more weeks. Then I let it go, which felt amazing.

DS is 10 weeks and I'm still neurotic about it. The reason is that he has reflux, so his weight gain tends to be on the low end so I record nursing sessions and dirty diapers for our pedi. I also save everything to see if we're approaching some kind of pattern or continuity any time soon!

I stopped diapers after a couple of weeks... Whenever she had gained back to birth weight. I used the sleep timer sporadically whenever we needed to get a handle on our routine. Nursing was used longest, mainly to keep track of which side to start on... Probably 9 months. I still log her height/weight/vaccines at each appointment.

I have been using the Baby Connect app on my iPhone pretty much religiously since DD was born--she is 11 weeks. Today my mom babysat for the afternoon and so when I got home, I incessantly updated the app to fill in all the blanks for her naps, diaper changes and feedings. I am wondering if I am just being totally neurotic about updating it, or if there are others like me!

So my question is, how old is your LO and how do you use the app? Did you ever get more lax about updating it?
