So I started sitting in the back seat with her and we would only go somewhere right after she had eaten, changed her diaper and burped so she was as comfortable as can be. Then with me sitting in the back seat and DH driving she would be calm. In fact I never took the little boy anywhere during his first year because he would just cry.</p> <p>My sister never went anywhere outside her town without someone with her because her son was heart-wrenching to listen to!!</p> <p>My son went through a one month stage of crying helplessly in the car and it broke my heart! </p> <p>Now he hoes back and forth. He can usually last about 20 mins before he's ready to get out. I thought driving is supposed to lull babies to sleep!? </p>
