If I had a son and he showed interest in dolls I would buy him one, for sure.

We let our sons have dolls. They loved to take care of them when I was taking care of my daughter. They each have one that they decided to sleep with for a while too.

I have a 2-year old boy and am expecting #2 this summer. I've been told by two people recently that I should get my son a baby doll so he can learn to be gentle with baby or whatever. This never even entered my mind as something to buy my son. Do a lot of people do this?

He's never showed any real interest in his friends' dolls and plays with his stuffed monkey and bear for about 30 seconds a week.

Did you/would you buy your son a doll?
