DD2 hates the parachute they always use at gym classes so we stopped going. One day they brought it out at the library. Oh no! I wasn't expecting it there and it ruined story time for us. Haha. She hates it so much.

@gilmoregirl: At some point my son looked a little weirded out and concerned when I sneezed. So now whenever someone sneezes I say, "[I/you/he/she] sneezed! When you sneeze, you say ah-choo!"

Now when there is a sneeze he looks at me expectantly and smiles when I say it.

Nothing so far! The only times I've seen her scared are when there has been a loud noise that startled her (usually me dropping something heavy) or the first night at my parents' house over Christmas, she woke up after a few hours and freaked out and seemed to forget where we were. But I think those are pretty reasonable for her age!

My nephew had this little wind up chick leftover from easter. Like, two inches tall and it just hopped along the floor. C was terrified of it.

And of course, santa clause.

When my younger brother was small, he was scared of stickers. Of course, my other brother and I would always take the opportunity to scare the bejesus out of him by sticking fruit stickers on his face.

Around 12 months she started being afraid of dogs and now cats too. Like screaming/crying/tears when one is within 15 feet of her. If we are holding her and it gets closer she is crawling up our arms even more.

I got some new fuzzy slippers for Christmas and she's terrified. First time I've ever seen her be afraid of something! It was cute and so sad.

I have this plush snowman/reindog Christmas thing that when you push the button, it dances and sings. M hates it. I had to tell D we can't play with it this year. I'm sure next year he won't be able to stay away from it!

It was Elmo for a little bit around 4 months old, which we found hilarious! He was gifted a talking Elmo that laughs when you hug it, and he FREAKED out the first time it laughed, and then cried anytime he saw Elmo. Then at 10 months, he decided he loved all things Elmo.

Does your child have any irrational fears?

We got a kazoo as a birthday party favor today. I played it when we got home, and my 10mo immediately burst into tears!
