We had planned to start TTC #2 after #1 turns 1 in Feb, but we will probably wait until end of summer/early fall for logistical reasons. I love my daughter so much and she's been so easy and fun that I want another, but also am a little sad about throwing her off her only child throne! I just can't imagine loving another one as much as her. The girl was 3.5 and they played so nicely together, the older girl kind of shepherding E but also having loads of fun herself. I thought "what a nice age gap" and started working out when we would need to TTC to engineer that gap..... I'm with all the PPs who just don't think newborns are that cute. J was also colicky, so I didn't get a whole lot of that snuggly/squishy time, more like a lot of screaming and crying. I think LOs start to blossom around 4 months and look like Gerber babies around 6 months, which is also (usually) when you're getting more sleep and settling into a groove. I can tell you that pregnancy is much, much harder this time around (I'm 36 weeks). The first trimester morning sickness was so, so rough when he was toddling around. He is a very heavy toddler, too, and my back pain is awful these days. </p> <p>However, I'm excited to have two close in age! I'm not super excited for the newborn stage, but I am very excited to get to know this new little person and add to our family. We want 3 or 4 kids, though, and I am taking a longer break between pregnancies next time.
