My husband has about 3 more months of training for his new job (he's gone 4 days/nights a week). I've been super sick with both pregnancies too, that would be hard to manage until he's home more. But then we also talked about house hunting. His company is closing, so everyone is going to lose their job. He has a couple interviews lined up, so we're cautiously optimistic.<br /> We also just bought a new vehicle, so we need to rebuild our savings account, any pay down a little more debt.<br /> I'd *ideally* like to be in a home for our second baby, instead of our current two bedroom apartment. But that may be further off than we would like just cause of $$.<br /> Lastly, there's work/PTO to consider. For my job, I can get 6 weeks short term disability at 60% pay for maternity leave, then use my accumulate PTO on top of it. It takes a year of not using any PTO to accumulate 6-weeks worth, though. So I'm not anywhere near that. If DH gets a new job. We should be able to manage me having a maternity leave with just a couple of the weeks unpaid, but it's just another thing to think about. </p> <p>Oi, so much to consider!! We were a little back and forth on whether we were gonna go for a second- talked about it for a year before I got pregnant just after DD turned 2. Our factors were mostly financial- making sure we had a big enough place to live comfortably with 2 kids, college costs, weighing the pros and cons of paying for daycare vs me being a SAHM (my preference). We made sure we were stable on one income for almost a year before removing my IUD. My pregnancy with her was extremely difficult due to severe HG and, near the end, vasovagal syncopy. I was such a mess. It took months after having her for my body to recover. Just in time for us to miscarry at 7 weeks when LO was 9 months old.</p> <p>I'm enjoying my LO so much, I'm afraid to mess that up. We're able to put a little bit of money in savings right now each month, my husband and I occasionally have time for each other and are able to spend a small amount of time on hobbies. All of that would go away with a second.</p> <p>I vacillate a lot on whether or not we want a second one, and when.
