I'm almost 20 weeks and I think I felt her move once? For a sec? Don't worry about it! I am a 1st time mom AND have anterior placenta and I normally don't really pay attention haha!

@FaithFertility: I felt him at 17 weeks, but it was definitely sporadic. I work at a desk all day and I noticed that every day mid-morning I would feel like a fish was swimming in my stomach and its tail was brushing me. It took about 2 weeks to become more routine and constant. I remember one weekend I didn't feel him at all - I was freaking out. At first it's so fluttery and soft that I think it's easy to miss!

I know it's easy to get worked up about it, but since it's still so early, the movements aren't consistent yet. That's why you don't start counting kicks until much later!

As an aside, isn't it fun to feel!? I love it.

Yep, definitely normal to feel the flutters one day and nothing the next!! Try not to stress about it :) I hear that 17 weeks is still relatively early for a FTM, so it's awesome you're feeling them!

@FaithFertility: I didn't feel any flutters until after 20 weeks because I had an anterior placenta. It's normal to feel flutters one day and then not the next day when it's so early.

I think it's normal to go days in between feeling movement this early. I would feel DD for a few days in a row and then NOTHING for a week and it drove me crazy. It will become more consistent in a few weeks.
