I opened it up though to extend across the living room to keep him in the play area instead of playing in the cat food, trash etc. So my LO isn't old enough to use it yet but I can see it being useful in the future! It's three floors with overlooking balconies that are iron, I can't secure anything to them because the rails are too small/thin. I also can't install anything that needs to be drilled into the walls because they're weird plastery in places and we rent, so I'm sure I'd just ruin them. (I'm more handy that DH and as far as that stuff goes, I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to bolting stuff down.)<br /> We have this gate in the center of our living room. We actually bought the extension to make it even bigger. DS plays in it all the time and it's great!
