We skipped straight to straw cups but LO still has milk before naptime and bedtime while we rock and read books. I guess we should move toward dropping that since she's older than 2 and milk is less important, plus she's potty trained so we should really not do liquids right before sleep. Meh. We just brush her teeth after.

We give DS a sippy cup if he wants to drink anything while in the living room. Otherwise, he uses a straw cup or a regular cup.

My 19 month old still has a paci. I let my almost 4 yr old drink from a straw cup.

@Freckles: @Mrs Panda: Another thumb sucker here! My DD is almost 3.5 and I'm not actively trying to stop her..it's basically just at bedtime and when she's really exhausted or stressed.

@regberadaisy: It hadn't even occurred to me that a snack catcher was babyish! :) I'm all for anything that keeps my floors clean, haha. Sometimes I think I'd like to give DH a snack catcher! :)

Another sippy cup user here, but only when he lays in bed getting ready to sleep. He refuses to go to sleep unless he's had milk. He drinks from a straw or regular cup at home, daycare, out and about, etc.

Same with the sippy cup. She uses an open cup at daycare but she uses mostly a take n toss sippy at home.

Well, when she wakes up in the middle of the night usually Dh or I go in and sleep with her in the big bed for the rest of the night. She's almost 28 months and while I wish she would just fall back asleep on her own, I tell myself she won't always wants us to snuggle her like that. Also she still has pouches when we are eating meals out- she doesn't need them but it's by far the easiest way to get veggies on the go and she eats all real foods at home.

Ah yes, mine also sucks her thumb when she's going to sleep. I don't consider that a baby habit I'm "letting" her keep because I'm actively trying to get her to stop! Haha.

My 3.5 year old likes using her sippy cup from time to time. I don't think it's too big of a deal since it's not a frequent request.

Sucking her fingers when she goes to bed. *hangs head* She's come a long way but it's a hard habit to kick.

Are there any baby habits that you have let your toddler (or older) hang on to? I let my 4-yr old drink milk from a sippy cup in the mornings because she wants to use the same kind of cup as her little sister. It's only at breakfast, though - the rest of the time she uses a real cup.
