As far as I remember this takes a few weeks usually to resolve. Daylight during the day may help but I think she is just still too little for anything more than that. The first 6 weeks are rough. Hope you are getting a lot of help.

I am in the same boat. (E is 4 weeks old) The bright busy household doesn't help us. I am hoping that he will just figure it out. I miss sleep.....

Thanks guys we are keeping it bright in here with noise and feeding her every 2 hours. I wouldn't even mind getting up every 2/3 hours at night (like a NB does) but she is up every 10/30 minutes all night long it's exhausting.

Our E was the same! We tried waking her more during the day and having a bright, loud and busy household but it took her about 4 weeks to switch.

We're in this boat too (DD is 10 days) yesterday I did wake her during the day to change/nurse her and last night she slept pretty well. I also turned off the tv,lights, ect about 30 mins before we headed to bed.

Can you keep her more active during the day? Tummy time, reading, looking in the mirror?

Like @Baby Boy Mom: we woke DS up every 2-3 hours to nurse during those early days, but our ped said you can't really start trying to help them get their days/nights switched until two weeks. It's biological that the sleep during the day, because that's when you were moving around the most and lulling them to sleep with movement and talking. It makes sense because, at least for me, baby was most active as soon as a parked my butt on the couch at night!
At the two week mark, we started doing things like making sure there was lots of sunshine during the day, then dimming lights at night, started a bedtime routine, and didn't make the house completely quiet when he was sleeping during the day.
Good luck!!!

I was thinking the same as PPs..no experience but the light/dark and quiet, and waking her up during the day maybe? Though I know it's easier said than done waking a sleepy newborn!

We woke Baby Brother up every two hours during the day to nurse. It definitely goes against let a sleeping baby sleep, but it worked pretty quickly.

Try to expose her to as much daylight as possible in the day, and pitch black at night. Take the time to catch up on sleep during the day yourself!

Little miss E is up all night but sleeps all day, we can't keep up! Is there any way we can start to adjust her sleep so she sleeps a little better at night? She's only 3 days old so I'm not sure if we will have much luck but I'm willing to try anything.
