I looked at 17 weeks and the baby had its legs crossed AND moved its hands down to cover it up more!

My OB office said they must see all the organs at the anatomy scan so I can go back as much as needed between 20-22 weeks until we see it lol!

I had an elective scan a few days later and they were able to tell right away because she was in a better position.

I had another scan! It took all of about 8 seconds before they determined I was having a little boy during scan #2

Lots of people become team green because of that but if you really want to know I believe you can do an elective u/s at your hospital or an outside source for a cost.

This almost happened to me. LOs legs were crossed and shut tight. Lucky he uncrossed before my appointment was over.

We had our 20 week scan today & I really hoped to find out the sex of our little bundle but despite much encouragement he/she would not move into the right position. This must happen all the time & I know the main thing is that our baby is healthy but I can't help feeling disappointed that we didn't get to find out the sex. If this happened to you did you eventually find out at a later scan (we may opt for a 3D scan in 7-8 weeks) or did you suck it up & accept the element of surprise?
