I am tall, have a long torso, and carried fairly low, I only felt a few kicks to the ribs my entire pregnancy. I think DS just had a good amount of room to move around.

At 31 weeks, I've had some really strong kicks down low but none yet toward my ribs. I haven't been woken up by kicks that I'm aware of, but sometimes it does take her a little while to settle down after I go to bed so I can get to sleep. At my 28 week ultrasound, she was head down with her feet over her head, so I think a lot of it has to do with their position.

I'm 35 weeks tomorrow and I haven't been kicked in the ribs yet! And I think when I was around 27 weeks, I still remember thinking why was I only feeling him so low? So don't worry! Things are about to get a long stronger soon, so enjoy now ;) Although my LO hasn't kicked me in the ribs yet, he loves to work the same spots over and over!

I felt movement super early (16 weeks) and my baby's kicks have been obvious ever since. That being said, I've never been kicked in the ribs or woken up from movement. I'm currently 32 weeks. I have a friend who is 33 weeks and didn't feel kicks until she was about 24 weeks. Everyone is different! I think it really depends on how your body is situated as well...if you have a longer torso (like myself) the baby doesn't really reach the ribs until much later!!

I never felt rib kicks or really any movement high up. All of my movement was down low.

I also never had enough movement to wake me up at night or keep me from falling asleep.

I'm just shy of 30 weeks and he hasn't quite reached my ribs yet either. I did get woken up the other night though - it felt like someone was shaking my belly to wake me up and I was confused until I realised he was just wiggling around in there! It never happened until this week though, so perhaps your little guy will be doing the same to you soon!

All that matters is that you feel movement. I didn't start feeling rib kicks until much later on, your baby just isn't the right length yet.
The movements change from kicks to twisting, turning and stretching as baby runs out of room. Just enjoy this time!

I carried low and didn't feel those high movements ever with my first.

This time I am carrying extra low so I don't expect them.

As for being woken up I don't remember it ever waking me up even though I know the movements got to the point of my whole tummy moving. This lo maybe I could see it waking me up because he is so low my hips are gonna be hurting!!

I think everyone is different! I wouldn't worry. And as the baby gets bigger you may feel more. Do you know if you have an anterior placenta? If so you will definitely feel less.

At 27w the top of your uterus will be just an inch or two above your belly button. movements will feel larger and more noticeable in a month or so.

For what it's worth, I never felt any kicks in my ribs.

Similar to what @mrscobee posted this week I feel the same way. I am forever reading about ladies getting kicked in the ribs and being woken up at night from kicks but this never happens to me. For reference, I am 27 weeks this week. I never feel anything above my belly button! Sometimes he'll have a few big kicks but nothing crazy. Does it get stronger the farther you are along? I guess I thought by 27 weeks I would be feeling a whole lot more and stronger kicks. Anyone experience similar things during their pregnancy?
