Also try tortellini! It keeps well, and they have cheese filled, mushroom filled and spinach filled varieties.

Turkey meatballs
* turkey, baby cereal of your choice as the base
* any other filling you want! Shredded carrots/ black beans/pureed pumpkin, etc.
* Mix until you can roll into small balls (add cereal as needed) and bake at 450 for 10 minutes.

Baked spaghetti squash with parmesan sprinkled on top
* Split the squash, scrape out seeds, brush with olive oil, bake at 400 degrees for about 45 minutes (until pierces easily with a fork).
* Scrape into "spaghetti" - I put hard parmesan in our Magic Bullet and make a powder, and sprinkle on top. he chows down!

Scrambled eggs with cheese

Zucchini & yellow squash sauteed with a tiny bit of onion for flavor

We also did sweet potato fingers - - we made all sorts of veggies into fingers: carrots, eggplant, summer and winter squash, sweet peppers, white potatoes and more. Just roasted with a little seasoning. A little shake of parmesan cheese on top of veggies was always a hit with my LO.

Hummus and chunks of pita.

Softer cheeses; LO loved (and loves) mozzarella and goat cheese.

Cooked apples with butter and cinnamon or apple pie seasoning.

Large strips of sweet onion cooked soft; same with mushrooms (baby white button mushrooms work well, are softer than some other varieties).

I also made these broccoli and cheese bites I found online.

Chicken cooked in broth so it's tender.

Fruit/cereal bars.

Our go to at that age was roasted sweet potato fingers (sliced sweet potatoes, little olive oil, baked in the oven @ 350 for 20-30 minutes, or until done looking) I always had a Pyrex container of them in the fridge to round out her meals or for snacks. They were the easiest thing for her to pick up and she loved them.

My DS (9 mos) is more interested in the solid foods to pick up rather than the purees we've been feeding him. I'm at a loss of creative juices of what to feed him. Any ideas of foods that you can make in batches (refrigerated or froze) so I can have a stash at home and at daycare? Recipes included would be extremely helpful. Otherwise my poor DS is only going to survive on string cheese, grilled chicken, puffs, and mum mums. :) lol
