The Saybrook Point Inn & Spa is really nice, right on the water in CT! It has a cute little town center with shops and restaurants. I'd also recommend Newport RI!

I'd stick to Boston. Lots of great restaurants to choose from, and many museums and indoor shopping areas where you can hang out inside where it's warm. If you do priceline (name your own price), you can get a nice hotel for a good price since it's definitely the off season.

If you want to go the B&B route, I'd second Newport. We stayed there in early January once and had our pick of B&B's. However it was freezing and there wasn't really much to do that was indoors.

We'll be doing our babymoon this Jan too and we're headed to NYC. Not sure if that's an option for you, but another place not too far away to consider.

The first place that comes to mind is Newport, RI. It's been a couple years since we've been, but there are plenty of great restaurants.

We got engaged while staying in Jamestown, Rhode Island and it was absolutely beautiful! We stayed at a bed and breakfast that wasn't too expensive and were able to walk to some restaurants and shops.

DH and I did not take a babymoon before we had our daughter, and we haven't really celebrated out anniversary in several years (we acknowledge it, but haven't really done much). Our anniversary is January 2, and baby#2 is due at the end of March. We have the opportunity to leave our daughter (who will be about 20 months old) with my parents for a day or two so we can take an anniversary/babymoon trip!

I am really struggling to come up with some ideas for us, and I am hoping you lovely ladies may be able to help. Here's the criteria:

- Budget isn't huge, around $200
- Ideally we'd stay in CT or possibly RI/MA. I will be in my third trimester and it will also be our first time away from our daughter overnight, so we don't want to go too far!
- It'll be winter so we're mostly interested in a great hotel room to lounge around and some good eating out options

Any New Englanders have any suggestions for us? We have only lived in the northeast for a couple of years, so our knowledge of the area is pretty lacking!
