I had the love and the attachment, sort of. I was really terrified that it wouldn't happen, that I wasn't actually going to have a baby. That it was too good to be true. I really loved my baby, but I just couldn't really accept that something I'd wanted for so long was really going to happen. So I just didn't really believe that I was going to come home with a baby even when I was laboring in the hospital. Weird, I know. I think next time I'll be more normal about it.

Oh yes! I know the love and attachment will be infinitely multiplied once she's on the outside, but all the kicks and flutters I feel make me excited, attached, and emotional. After my m/c, everything the first several months made me nervous, and even now I still get scared of bad things happening, but her constant little kicks and flutters reassure me and makes my heart all warm and fuzzy.

It is a very cool and weird feeling! But I haven't really grown a strong attachment to her in that way yet...for me, I really think it'll happen when she's here. She's bouncing around in there right now. It's so bizarre

Glad to hear I'm not alone! This has been a rough pregnancy for me so having him move around and feeling a little more attached is really starting to help :)

I felt a little detached from the whole thing, almost like I couldn't believe it, but now that he's moving so much and I can feel his little foot poke at my hand or see my belly move or feel his head move around in my pelvis (totally weird feeling!!!!), it's totally created this bond and love that's amazing. I love it!

I don't think I'm IN LOVE yet, but I'm definitely becoming more and more attached to the little guy, especially when he's kicking! I have an anterior placenta, so most of his kicks are pretty subdued, but sometimes he'll kick me to the side of my placenta (at least, I'm assuming that's what's happening, based on the force of the kicks), and it just TICKLES and I LOVE IT! I'll just start giggling and Hubs will give me a weird look.

It has totally helped me bond with my baby. Feeling him move has BY FAR been the best part of being pregnant. I love it - even when it hurts!

Sometimes I get emotionally overwhelmed with how much love I feel for this little creature that's growing (and kicking, and punching, and somersaulting) inside of me. I'm 21 weeks and the bond I feel with the baby has definitely grown MASSIVELY since I started feeling movement. I feel like a total loser, but when I'm by myself or with DH, I talk to the baby on the regular. Can't wait to meet him/her!

Yes!! It is still so weird to feel her kicks but I love it. I was so excited yesterday, when she was kicking really hard and I looked down and I my belly move where she kicked. I love seeing progress that she is getting bigger and stronger. I can't wait to meet her in 16 weeks! Hard to believe you can love something so much that isn't even here yet.

When I was 18 weeks(ish) I was just starting to think I could feel the baby moving around. Mostly just bubbles and flutters, but I have to admit - it FREAKED ME OUT! I was always excited about having the baby, and we were definitely trying for one, but it really brought on a "holy crap this is real" feeling that I wasn't quite prepared for.

Now at 23 weeks I am feeling distinct kicks and somersaults and its starting to get kinda fun. I am so excited for the baby to be here with us on the outside, and I always presumed I'd be the kind of mom who wasn't really attached until he was born. But I think now that I'm more used to the idea of being pregnant, even though its really taking a toll on me, I I really am starting to like this little guy!

Did you fall in love with your LO before they were born?
