I used to coordinate an infant to twos program and naps in the infant room is very individualized. We would put infants to sleep base on their home nap schedule. I don't know if they are doing that at the daycare, but it can help. Also, if the daycare have dim lights and soft music/white noise, that might help, too. Perhaps, have her crib be moved to the back of the room so that there are less noise and distractions.

The infant room can be a little noisy at times because you may have multiple infants crying at the same time which can be disruptive to your DD's nap time. The good news is that once your daughter turns one, she can transition to the toddler room where they all nap at the same time.

Thanks @LittleK. I think when she moves to the Tiny Tots room it'll be better because they nap at the same time, but that won't be for a couple more months.

We struggled with this and I feel like we are finally breaking through now that DS is almost 11 months old. What really helped was when they moved LO to the older infant room and they all seem to nap at the same time, which means they dim the lights. LO also plays really hard with his BFF and they both knock out for long naps, funny enough at the same time. No real advice, but hang in there! I feel your pain.

LO (10 months) has never been a good napper at daycare. At home she will nap for 1-2 hours twice a day. But at daycare her naps are always 20-30 minutes twice a day. Usually by Friday, she seems pretty exhausted. She has a lovey at daycare, and they say they've tried giving her a small bottle before naps (it usually helps at home) but she still has trouble going down and wakes early.

Does anyone have tips or ideas to get her to nap better at daycare?
