@spaniellove: Ha. I would describe it like flecks, so sort of in between. Bigger than a pepper, but not quite as big as the "worm" stuff I saw online.

@Mae: That would explain it. Well I'm crossing this pouch off our list anyway since after eating it he actually had reflux coming out his nose for the first time.

definitely banana. She gets the stringy things when she eats it. But she eats it whole. If it was in a pouch I imagine it was blended up and the fibers were broken into more pepper-sized pieces rather than long strings.

@Little Misters Mom: I'm horrified that I googled that. This is even more disgusting to ask, but was what you saw the wormy things or more like pepper?

@spaniellove: I think that could be it. DS only had a few spoonfuls of banana, but apparently it's very common. It's pretty gross, but there are images online if you google "banana black thread baby poop." (God, parenting it so weird). Good luck!

@Little Misters Mom: He did have a pouch with banana as an ingredient; I wonder if that could do it? I know fresh banana gets the nasty black squiggles if you leave it out.

It wasn't formula, but after eating bananas he got these weird black specks in his poop. Dr. Google told me that was normal. Had he had any new foods?

If you've ever experienced formula-fed baby poop with little black flecks, did you know what it was from?
