I second Batiste dry shampoo, pretty cheap, works well on dark hair.

I have black hair so I have to use dry shampoo, I also like the "Not Your Mothers" brand... I wanted to comment and state that I started using Living Proof's shampoo and I can go 3-4 days without washing AND without using dry shampoo... it's pricey but amazing. I've come a long way, my hair use to be super oily the next day.

I like the unscented not your mother's dry shampoo. (Cheap and I buy at target) Powder wouldn't work well on my dark hair.

Funny you asked because I just bought dry shampoo for the first time every yesterday. I am having eye surgery and my mom suggested I have some on hand for my recovery period. I agreed that it was a great idea so I asked one of my beauty guru friends what she recommended. She told me that she LOVED living proof and thought it was the best but warned me it was pretty expensive. I went to Sephora and asked one of the workers about dry shampoos and she said living proof was hands down the best option. She said it is the only one she reaches for now. I ended up buying it. It was expensive but it seems way easier to use than baby powder.

I use baby powder because I have it in the house already and it means I don't have to go out and buy another product. I've tried dry shampoo before and didn't like how it seemed to make my hair stiff. I put the baby powder in my hair and brush it out while I'm still wearing my PJs to avoid getting it on my clothes for the day.

I prefer dry shampoo. I have practically black hair so I really don't feel like combing it out, etc to make sure it doesn't show. I just want to spray, brush and go.

I have used both dry shampoo and baby powder. But not specifically the living proof one. I definitely prefer dry shampoo because it is less messy. I have yet to use baby powder that doesn't get all over my outfit.

I ran out of my Oscar Blandi dry shampoo recently and was upset to see that it was out of stock at ulta and amazon. So I did some googling and found a youtuber (doitonadime) who recommended regular old baby powder (cornstarch only).

I am now on my THIRD DAY of not washing my hair, and I'm thrilled at the time it saved me in the morning.

But an ad came up for Living Proof dry shampoo, and the reviews look amazing. It is a lot more expensive than the $3 baby powder which seems to be working just fine for me.

I wonder if anyone has tried both and can weigh in on whether the Living Proof stuff is really different:
