@Alivoo01: I do think a gate is in our near future-- we haven't decided whether to pen her IN or pen her OUT. We considered the pool noodle idea too. Maybe I'll see if the dollar store has one that would work for now.

@Mrs. Blue: I am afraid of that! I suppose the gates would solve it anyway.

We have two similar to this one. We removed everything on the bottom shelves but knock on wood, so far she doesn't try to climb on them or anything.

We have a very similar one and we finally just took it down because they were trying to climb it too much. :bummed:

Could you put a gate around the shelf to prevent her from accessing it? Or if you don't mind "not pretty" you could get a pool noodle and cut up pieces to put around the edges to form a barrier.

Help me figure out the best way to baby proof this bookshelf?

We have the Sloane leaning bookcases in our living room, near where C plays. They are anchored to the wall, and I don't leave her in there alone for long, so I'm not too worried about climbing (yet). But the corners of the shelves jut out and she has already pulled herself up on them and slipped-- didn't hit her face, but could have.

What do you recommend? I don't think the corner cushions would really fit, but maybe? Or just the roll of cushion tape? I'm also afraid those will just be something fun to pick at and end up being useless...

Here is a picture of the shelves for reference. You can see the bottom shelves where the corners jut out.
